Lime PLaster

Lime Plaster

We have considerable experience with Lime Plaster. We mostly use Rockcote’s Lime Plaster Basecote which is a fine grained lime plaster for interior decorative finishes. While some customers like a beautiful, clean lime plaster finish, we also use the product as a base coat for other lime based products such as Venetian Plaster, and Lime Wash finishes.

What is Lime Plaster?

Lime Plaster is an internal wall finish that has been used for thousands of years. Lime plaster is made up of lime, sand, and water.

What Substrates can Lime Plaster Go Over?

Lime Plaster can go on most surfaces; exposed masonry, brick, timber etc. Usually applied with a three coat system. Traditionally lime plaster takes around 10 days to set but the new products have a greatly reduced curing time.

Where can Lime Plaster Be Applied?

Modern Lime Plaster like Rockcote’s can be used internally and externally. It can also be tinted with a wide range of colours to achieve your desired patina and colour. You can create multiple finishes from the single product.
